I was browsing around in Barnes and Noble several Decembers ago and dropped a couple hints to my husband about a couple cookbooks I was interested in. I wasn’t really subtle – I simply pulled them out, showed them to him, and said how great these would be for Christmas gifts. He was happy that I gave him specific ideas and I was happy to receive both of them as gifts from him. One of the cookbooks is called Hello, Cupcake!: Irresistibly Playful Creations Anyone Can Make.
I recently found a cute baby burp cloth tutorial over at Homemade by Jill and decided to give it a try. I was happy to get some coupons from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores in my email, and was doubly happy to find out that flannel prints were 50% off! Major score! I found some really cute baby prints and ended up saving more money than I spent. I love it when that happens. I followed Jill’s tutorial the first time around but decided I wanted to play with it some and try to make a similar burp cloth without the fringed edges.
This first tip is similar to what your mother most likely taught you about the front door. If you open it – close it! Whenever you open a tag (for instance:…) ALWAYS make sure you close it! (…) Forgetting to do this could have drastic effects to your website, including breaking it! The second tip is very similar to the first tip. Always make sure you close image links. Images are closed slightly different than everything else. The correct syntax is: “…”. The “/>” is the close of the image tag.
On Friday, 9/23 I went to my very first hot air balloon festival with my hubby and friend — except the weather turned bad and the balloons weren’t able to go up. So, on Saturday, 9/24 we went back for my real first balloon festival — and the balloons went up! It was the Adirondack Balloon Festival held at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury, NY.
